About Kobe"Kobe" is and always will be "our baby girl". She came into our lives to fill an empty gap left by our previous four-legged family member, our German Shepherd named Shilo who passed away at 12 years of age. Our decision to change from the German Shepherd to an Akita was in a sense like making a fresh start, little did we know back then what that decision would lead us to. Kobe has personality plus, however she rarely displays her charm to strangers instead preferring to remain aloof. A true sweetheart to those she knows and loves, Kobe has collected many admirers over the years. Friends are greeted with her woo woo woos and big smiley happy face, offering lots of licks and tail wags. On many occasions she looks for a toy to bring as a present. It's a special welcome that only Kobe can give and all our friends delight in it. Strangers on the other hand get an entirely different greeting. For our first two years with Kobe she was our only child. Not having to share anything with anyone, she was spoilt to the point of being ruined. Constantly by my side we were inseparable and a special bond was formed. She’s learnt to read our every move and often even knows what we’re thinking. Highly respected amongst the others she carries herself like royalty. Often comical with her peculiar antics, she is a joy to own. |
